Last week I had another assignment due for my photography class. The assignment was to capture different images very close up or even with a macro lens. Unfortunately I don’t own a macro lens yet but I did rent one for a few days to give it a try and to have some fun taking pictures.
I ran into other obstacles with this assignment. The weather has been clear but very cold and many of the flowers that I love to photograph are almost dead because it has been freezing every night.
Hope that you enjoy the photographs.
Happy Fall Season! Farook Khan

Great photographs Farook!! I wish we lived closer to take you up on your free pictures offer!! Take care!
Very nice pics! I don’t have any macro lenses yet either, but with the little macro photography that I’ve done, I have found it an interesting challenge to diemonstrate some idea of the small scale that you’re shooting on, while maintaining the visual aesthetics of the photo.
I especially like in the second picture how the flower in the foreground also has nice lighting on it, which helps to draw it out even more from the blurred flower behind it.
So random… came across this via facebook but Farook! Holy Cow! You are an amazing photographer! I had know idea. All of your pictures are absolutely stunning! You should come down to Southern Utah and work your magic with the red rock areas!
