Detailing the Truck

I got the truck detailed today and I am really happy with how it turned out. The truck got to send the day at the “Spa”. Or at least that is what I like to call it. The complete detail includes shampooing the carpet and a nice coat of wax. The tires are all nice and shinny and the chrome all polished up!

I just recently learned about the photographer Chase Jarvis and have really taken a liking to the idea of “the best camera is the one that’s with you”. I watched a presentation he gave in regard to being creative and it really motivated me to be more creative. You should check out his website and blog.

Friday Night in the Backyard

Charlie and I are enjoying the backyard now that they have mostly completed it. There is still about a weeks worth of work that need to be done to the property but things have come together quite nice. I just took this picture a moment ago on my iPhone and thought I would share. I’ll have to take a video and post it. I haven’t been one to do much with web videos, but I thought I should at least give it a try.

We have most of the furniture now. You can probably see the hot tub in the picture. It is fantastic. It has six jets and can easily fit eight people. The hot tub exterior is dark grey that matches the house pretty good and then the inside is black. Most of the metal is bronze and looks fantastic. I’ll post more pictures of the project in coming weeks.

Summer Ride

A few months ago I took this picture of Charlie and I driving up Little Cottonwood Canyon. The picture was taken with my handy Canon SD600 that has taken a beating but still manages to take really good pictures. In warmer weather Charlie and I like to take his Jeep for rides up the canyons. We sometimes will bring Jake along for the ride and find a trail to hike. We want to spend more time in the mountains this year and this picture definitely gets me excited for it to warm back up!
