Portrait: Jake

A few weeks ago my photography class had an assignment to do different portrait shots. We typically have to submit two photographs and one of the photographs I submitted was of my dog Jake. He’s a wonderful and obedient Yellow Lab. While this isn’t one of the best photographs that I have taken of Jake, it is one that I submitted for my assignment.

  1. My photography teacher thought that I should remove the brown branch on the right hand side of the picture. While that is an easy process, I don’t like to manipulate my pictures. What are your thoughts?

  2. I agree with LaNae – I didn’t notice it either… If you were going to remove that branch, wouldn’t you also want to “clean up” the smudgy looking stuff above the branch too?? Too much work, I like the natural shot…
